Cider Press Originally from the Remelt Farm in Henrietta with 4 varieties of Apples from Sergent's Farm, Sodus, NY.
Press was restored by Bob Tobey, Henrietta. First time press was used in over 50 years. Hopper chops and grinds apples for pressing.
Turning the press to squeeze out the juice. Demonstrations of the process were given throughout the day. Six bushels of apples produced 18 gallons of cider.
Fresh Cider Flows from the press. Cider pressing was a common activity on farms since colonial times.
Apple cakes would then be fed to the chickens or hogs.

Golden Eagle String Band entertained visitors to the Tinker Homestead and Farm Museum.
