Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration at the Park

What a beautiful Spring day we had for the Earth Day Celebration. Ron Walker of Friends With Feathers stopped by for a visit with his Birds of Prey Program. Both shows were standing room only and onlookers watched in awe at the grace and beauty of these birds.

Seven trees were donated by the Church of Christ in Pittsford and one tree was donated by Lakeview Landscape to add privacy for walkers on the labyrinth. A single tree was planted to celebrate Arbor Day/Earth Day.

RIT students from the Environmental Science Department came out and conducted pond studies with anyone who was interested and as you can see, everyone was!

35 Roth Middle School 8th Grade Honors Society volunteers offered their time to help with spring cleanup around the museum and the nature center.

A speical thanks to everyone who made the 2007
Earth Day/Arbor Day event a success.
