Beekeepers Meeting

The next meeting will be December 10th at 11:30 at
the Nature Center. I know December is a busy month for everyone. I plan
to set up and repair hive
parts for the nature center. If anyone has any suggestions, please email me. Everyone is welcome to come and help out.

Cobblestone complete with beautiful handmade
decorations wildcrafted from the park.

The Hansen Nature Center will have a visit from
Santa Claus and activities for the children
including a make and take ornament project.
As always, Park events are free and open to the public!

Seed Drill on Loan





The Hopkins Farm loaned an Ontario disc seed drill to the museum. The drill was built in East Rochester and is a welcome addition to the museum's farm implement collection.

The Monroe Beekeepers

Thanks to all who attended the first Monroe Beekeepers meeting. For those of you that could not make it we had a great turn out; 12 people came to the meeting and I think we will build in numbers as time goes on. The next meeting is set for November 19th 11:30am at the park where we will go over
repairs to equipment and preparing equipment for the coming season. If anyone has any suggestions for the next meeting E-Mail me at monroebeekeepers@hotmail.com and let me know. Anyone interested in the Empire State Honey Producers Association meeting it is in Syracuse November 10th and 11th. The web site is www.eshpa.org there are directions and a program for the meeting on that site. I will try to make the trip if I can. If anyone else is planning on going please let me know. Lastly Ed mentioned a place down in Pennsylvania called Draperbee. Try www.draperbee.com for the site. Once there, select "Bee Supplies and there will be a button for used equipment.
